August Bicycles' Instagram feed

Those of you who have followed us for a while know that we have a love-hate relationship with social media. That's why you won't find us on Facebook. If you are of the same mindset, you don't need to miss out as our Instagram feed is below. Social media: don't want to live with it, can't run a business without it!

Though we love being able to share what we've been working on and things we've managed to master that we are proud of, the dark side of social platforms causes us discomfort. From stealing pictures to simply ripping off ideas, it's a double-edged sword, which is why we only update our Instagram account once a week now, for our own sanity. We have a separate one for our August Wheelworks arm too, but that is a little neglected.

Follow for fun but not tips

To our fellow custom framebuilders, both in the UK and throughout the world: it's such a privilege when you follow us and like what we do. By all means, please do get in touch to ask about something you don't recognise but we would rather not be used as a teaching resource. There are some amazing framebuilding experts out there that are only too happy to tell you how, why and where from but we prefer to keep ourselves to ourselves. We aren't 'gatekeeping' or trying to be secretive, we are just aware of the fact that this is our full-time career. We support a family with our work, we don't supplement a salaried wage with it for fun.

Please keep this in mind before messaging!

We are afraid not. DMs are absolutely welcome, but we prefer to keep post comments turned off to avoid any silliness. We always enjoy the conversations that crop up but in a bid to stay a little more professional, we decided this was the best way to keep Mrs A's swearing in check!

We appreciate every follow, like and share that you guys give us, so thank you for helping to beat those pesky algorithms and please continue to support us by engaging and enjoying our uploads.
